The Environmental Center’s Rethink Waste Project is accepting applications for the next round of the 2024 Community Innovation Fund (CIF)! This program will provide a total of $54,000 awarded to individuals, businesses, or community organizations to implement reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost projects throughout Deschutes County. Spring Repair Café 

Got a broken something? Bring it to Repair Café this Wednesday, May 1st, 5:30-7:30 at The Gear Fix in Bend! These free events connect people with broken stuff to people who like to fix stuff – they’re all about repairing things (together). There will be fixer stations to assess bikes, outdoor gear, small appliances, jewelry, knitting, sock darning, sewing, and sewing machines! 

Summer Repair Café

Got a broken something? Bring it to Repair Café on July 17th, 5:30-7:30 at the SCP Redmond Hotel! These free events connect people with broken stuff to people who like to fix stuff – they’re all about repairing things (together).
